Describe what you heard / found / saw
Found large footprint crossing trail. Trail is composed of very hard clay. Footprint depressed claynapprox. 1 1/2 inches deep. Moose tracks nearby were of similar depth, indicating extreme weight. A trailnof broken trees and brush extended in the direction of the print. Following this trail I found that thencreature had been travelling on a well developed moose trail, cut through the trees across my path, andnrejoined another moose trail. Track appeared to be about 1 or 2 days old. I returned the next morningnand made a plaster mold of the print, took photos and measured it. It was 16 inches long and 7 inches atnits widest. I spent hours studying the track and mold, trying to make myself believe that a humanncreated this as a joke or hoax. However, the way that the clay was pushed up between the toes and thenrest of the foot clearly show that the toes exerted force separately from the foot- this was not just ancouple of guys jumping on a bigfoot cut out-This was from a moving foot with moving toes. I alsoncollected a few hairs from on the ground in, and around the print.nFor the next few weeks I walked the area daily looking for more signs but found nothing. A couple ofnmonths later I was walking on the same trail with my wife, when we saw another print! This one wasnabout 10 feet down the trail from the other sighting. This time the track was about 1-2 weeks old and rain and snow had ruined the fine details but you could clearly see the outline and the toes. This, too, nwas 16 inches by 7 inches. Directly behind this print was another footprint about 11 inches long. It was anbare foot print within the realms of human size, but it depressed the clay about 1 inch. It should be notednthat on the wettest of days, I cannot dig the heel of my boot more than 1/4 inch deep into the clay of thisntrail. Within both of the impressions I found many hairs and collected all samples I could find. Creaturenappeared to be travelling on same route as before.
