Describe what you were doing at time of sighting
Sitting on a picnic table, talking to a friend of mine.
Describe what you heard / found / saw
Something screamed in the woods about, I would guess 50 Ft. behind us. I looked at Bill and he lookednat me and at the same time said what the ==== was that. It screamed again and we headed for the carnbefore we got to the car it screamed a 3rd time. I have hunted and fished all my life and I'm use to thensounds in the woods. I have never heard anything like this before. It made the hair on the back of mynneck actually stand up. We got out of there as fast as we could.

Have there been any other reports ro talk in your area
We left the Pinic area and drove to a friend of ours about a mile down the road to see if he had heard thenscreams. It was that loud. If he was out side he should have heard it. They where inside and didn't hearnanything. But his father said that they heard the screams every spring for the 10 years that they livednthere. He was in Alaska in the army and said that he has heard Bobcats, cougars and about ever kind ofnaniamal that mite be around here, and he said he didn't know what it was. He also said a neighbor callednone night and said someone was messing around her trailer. When they got there they didn't findnanyone, but her Greman Shepard ( you usually could not get out of your car because he would bit you)nwas under her car whinning. We also later heard of a family that lived a few miles from where we heardnthe screams that saw something looking in there kitchen window late one night. The window is 7 ft. offnthe ground. She said they thought it was someone in a monkey mask. But they didn't know how theynlooked in the window because there was nothing to stand on. Around the same time there neighbor hadnhis camper pushed off its jacks one night while he was in it. It scared him so much he moved.
Additional comments
I mentioned the west wind because what ever screamed behind us had to have come up down wind of usnand would have known we where there. I only heard these screams one other time about 3 years laternnorth of Lacon at about 3 in the morning on my way home from work. I had slid off the road because ofnan Ice storm and was waiting on the tow truck. They came from a tree line on the other side an opennarea about 200 yrds away. It made for a long wait for the tow truck.
